IPTV Smarters Pro: install, sign in and fix the common errors

IPTV Smarters Pro is the player most Iptvpro subscribers use on Firestick, Android and iOS. This guide covers installing it on each platform, signing in with Xtream Codes, getting the EPG to populate, and the six errors that generate almost every support ticket.

IPTV Smarters Pro is a player, not a service. It contains no channels of its own, it displays whatever your provider’s credentials give it access to. That is why the app is free and why installing it does nothing until you sign in.

Installing IPTV Smarters Pro

Amazon Firestick and Fire TV

Enable Apps from Unknown Sources in Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options, install the Downloader app from the Amazon Appstore, and use it to fetch the official APK. Amazon’s own store listing comes and goes, so Downloader is the reliable route.

Android phones, tablets and TV boxes

Install from Google Play where it is listed, or side-load the official APK. On an Android TV box, install the TV build rather than the phone build, the remote-control navigation is completely different.

iPhone, iPad and Apple TV

Install from the App Store. On iOS you must sign in with Xtream Codes credentials rather than an M3U URL, because the app cannot refresh a remote playlist in the background.

Windows and macOS

A desktop build exists, but VLC is faster if all you want is to confirm a line works. Use the desktop player only if you watch regularly on a computer and want the guide.

Download the APK only from the developer’s own site. Repackaged builds circulating on forums are the most common source of “my app asks for a payment code” complaints.

Open the app and accept the terms.
Choose Login with Xtream Codes API, not the playlist option.
Enter any name you like, then the server URL, username and password from your welcome email, exactly as written.
Wait for the first load. It pulls the full channel list, the guide and the on-demand library, which takes a minute.

Type the values by hand if pasting fails, a trailing space copied from an email is the single most common cause of a failed login.

Getting the EPG to populate

The guide arrives with the Xtream Codes login automatically. If it is empty, force a refresh from Settings → EPG, and check the app’s time zone is set to Irish time, a wrong time zone shifts every programme and looks like a missing guide. If the guide is still blank after a refresh, the fault sits on the provider side rather than in the app.

Six errors, and what actually causes them

If none of these apply, send support the device, the player, the channel name and the exact time. Those four details usually resolve a ticket in one reply.

When to use a different player

IPTV Smarters Pro is the right default, but not always the right answer. On an Android TV box, TiviMate has a far better guide layout and adds recording and multi-view on its premium tier. On a Samsung or LG television, the native store player avoids adding a Firestick entirely. On a MAG or Enigma2 box you do not install anything, send us the MAC address and we provision the portal on our side.
